Newfoundland moose population are estimated between 120,000 & 150,000. There are approximately 30,000 moose harvested annually with a large number of these being harvested in Northern Newfoundland. There are more moose per square mile in Newfoundland than anywhere else in North America. Northern Newfoundland has a higher moose population than anywhere else in Newfoundland.
